Happy Monday, friends! Here are 5 things I am loving lately!
1. You’re Going to Be Okay by Holley Gerth. I have never been one to read non-fiction, “self-help” books if you will. I am always reaching for the hopeless romantic, happily-ever-after novels with the occasional thriller thrown in there as well. I have tried so many times to read non-fiction pieces but I’ve just never been able to finish them. This is the first book I have read that quite honestly, has changed my life. Holley Gerth does such a wonderful job at explaining how our thoughts can get the best of us but how we have the power to control not only our negative thoughts but also our happiness. I am a big fan of therapy and this book is truly the closest thing to in-person therapy I have ever experienced. I start my day by reading a chapter and I swear, it makes the whole day brighter. Especially in uncertain times like this, our mental health is such a high priority and this book truly has the power to get you through even the worst of days. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! $10 on Amazon.
2. The Renneau Tassel Earring by The Tiny Tassel. You’ll soon learn that I am a statement earring fanatic and these beauties are my latest buy! First of all, The Tiny Tassel is one of my absolute FAV places to buy earrings and probably started my love for the tassel look. Back when I was visiting Charleston for the first time in 2018, I popped into a store called Cannonborough Collective and met Mimi who owns The Tiny Tassel and bought my first pair of tassel earrings! Ever since then, I’ve been hooked. These earrings are super light weight, so not heavy on my ears and are absolutely perfect for summer! $24, also come with a light pink tassel.
3. Glossier Super Glow Serum. I may be a little late to the skin care game but how did I ever live without this?! It might just be that I am getting older but I am now obsessed with skin care and truly love this serum. After doing some research about different brands and skin types, I decided to go with Glossier and have not been disappointed. I have always had sensitive skin and worried about whether or not a product would make me break out but this has done nothing by brighten my skin and I love it! When it comes to my skin, I will pay a little bit more for a good product and the good thing about this serum is that it will last me a really long time. We could all use a little extra vitamin C right now! $28.
4. IPad Case from Amazon. I have recently been using my iPad a lot more than I used to and wanted to order a cute case that would also protect it more than it just being bare and I love this one! It fits perfectly, allows the iPad to stand on it’s side, and is very good quality! Would I throw it off a rooftop with confidence that my iPad would survive? No. But it does save me from a cracked screen after falling off my bed. $18.
5. Glass Water Bottle from Target. I picked up this water bottle from Target the other day and absolutely love it! I definitely didn’t need it but I also don’t need 80% of the things I ever buy at Target. This bottle is eco friendly with a bamboo lid and fits perfectly into my cup holder in my car, something that honestly not a lot of hydro flasks or other water bottles do. $13.
Have a great week, lovelies!
